Bishop Williamson - We've lost the faith - updated version
Young people especially, are struggling as a result
Bishop Williamson gave a sermon at mass on 4/24/2022. It’s worth a listen, as usual.
His message is straightforward. We’ve lost the faith and don’t care.
Gen Z feminist writers love using edgy stream-of-consciousness style to lament their tremendous lack of lovelife. With so many soyjaks out there, it’s difficult to be too hard on them. They’re lonely. But their desperation is palpable, precisely because, raised by Godless Boomer parents, they have no clue about how to find meaning in a poisonous covid culture with a bizarre Ukrainian news cycle. So they blog like someone who’s lost all their friends and is stuck in an AA meeting in Camden. It’s supposed to be funny, and sometimes is. Kinda like laughing right before you burst into tears.
They have no faith to guide them through their pain. They never got taught anything. Sin truly is transmitted from parents to their children.
Bishop Williamson says we need to ask God to increase our faith, but most people are simply not interested. Look, the opposite of love is not hate. It’s indifference. God just doesn’t count anymore. He’s not in the daily thoughts of most people. It’s laughable to take God seriously, nowadays. He cannot be mentioned in polite conversation or at cocktail parties. Merry Christmas was thrown in the dustbin long ago. It is now a revolutionary act to say Merry Christmas. I ask you.
Religious faith is essentially a creative endeavor. It must be practiced regularly, in order to make progress. An inadequate analogy might be like learning to play the piano. You simply cannot sit down right now and play Chopin’s etudes perfectly, or the third movement of Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata. You can’t do it. You have to practice every day. You have to dedicate yourself. You have to put the hours in. You have to make it a big part of your life. It can’t happen any other way.
Similarly, you have to ask God to help you make progress with your faith. You have to ask Him to help you pray more, and to think about Him more during the day. You have to include Him in your daily life. This is not possible as long as modern electronic life seizes you. There is simply no time nor peace to ask God to help you. It’s clear. You can either follow the New World Order or you can follow God. No way can you do both. It’s what I mentioned in my Sexual Problems of the New World Order post. If you’re tired of sexual sins and problems you’ve had, you’ve got to move away from modern material appetites (often pornography) and the New World Order, and move back towards God. If you’re Catholic, that means you’re gonna have to go to confession a lot, to turn your soul around. You have to ask the Blessed Virgin to help you, too. Pray her rosary. God will help you with every step. But you have to ask Him. It can’t happen any other way.
Bishop Williamson laments a “tidal wave of sin” in the world today. We legalized divorce. Our women sterilized themselves with the Pill and still do. We legalized abortion. We adopted a casual sex lifestyle. Promiscuity. We decriminalized homosexuality and approved homosexual “unions.” Pride parades. Analism. Then we said okay to “gay marriage.” “Gay” adoption of children. “Tranny” library storybook hour with demons sizing up our children. Chopping off sexual organs and breast buds of 8 and 9 year-olds. Chemical hormones for irrevocable “transitioning.” Now a push for post-birth abortion and legal pedophilia, offering sex with children.
Atheistic Pharma Jews and obedient goy public health officials have killed millions and disabled millions more with mysterious genetic covid injections, all without a pang of conscience. And we the people don’t care. We sit and take it, because we’ve been prepared very carefully for this exact moment. When you destroy a people morally, you can do anything to them.
How did this happen? Solzhenitsyn gave it away 39 years ago in his Templeton address of 1983: Men Have Forgotten God.
Do you see Solzhenitsyn’s point? We say we’re Catholic. We’re say we’re Christian. We say we’re Orthodox. We’re say we’re a religious country. Yet our entire lives mock God. He counts for nothing. “Men have forgotten God.” We’re inviting disaster. We’re inviting nuclear war. And God may very well allow it to save the few who still might be interested in Him. Billions have already made their choice. They’re just marking time now until their Day of Judgement comes and the sentence they wanted is executed.
As the good Bishop says, “the wicked modern world” loves to deny that pesky First Commandment about seeking God first, above all things. Of course, the Elite, such as Klaus Schwab, do not believe in God at all. They act as if there were no God. They appear respectable and decent to men, commanding in their presence, and are promoted and praised ad nauseum on television. But God thinks differently than men do. God will not be mocked.
The Gospel mentions the Apostle Thomas and his insistence on proof of the Lord’s resurrection. Jesus obliges, and shows him His wounds, but rebukes him at the same time. He knows Thomas doesn’t believe enough, while the other Apostles do. We all want more proof that God is really there for us, watching over us, and is really interested in us, despite this modern disaster, and despite the apparent near-victory of the Satanic elite.
So we now have overwhelming evidence that the coronavirus shots are doing real harm, either killing people outright or harming their hearts and immune systems. It’s obvious. All the evidence is there. But people refuse to accept the evidence. At least St. Thomas was interested in the evidence!
Not to worry. The Truth is forever young. 2000 years ago they tried to destroy it. They thought they assassinated it. They buried it deep down. They assumed victory. But the Truth refused to die. Sunday. The veil in the Jewish Temple was torn in two. It’s going to happen again. It’s happening right now. Ask God to help you in your disbelief.
